Western Chapter Annual Awards

Western Chapter Annual Awards Program

The PRLA Western Chapter annually recognizes individuals and companies who have achieved significant success in the hospitality industry. Award winners are honored during the Western Chapter Installation & Awards Gala. The 2020 event takes place on Monday, February 24 at the Rivers Club in Pittsburgh.

General Award Nomination Guidelines

  • Active PRLA members may make the nominations
  • All nominations are reviewed by the Western Chapter Awards Committee.
  • Award winners are automatically nominated for the state award.
  • Nominations are due by February 3.

Award Categories

EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
Honors a non-management employee who goes above & beyond normal job responsibilities. Nominees are judged on outstanding services to their place of employment, customers & community. It may go to an employee of a restaurant, hotel, destination marketing organization, or allied business establishment.
MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Honors exemplary professionalism and exceptional service by an employee in a supervisory position. Nominees are judged on showing outstanding leadership qualities and consistently contributing to the success of their place of employment. It may go to an employee of a restaurant, hotel, destination marketing organization, or allied business establishment.
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD
This award honors a restaurant, lodging, destination marketing organization, allied, or institutional business that demonstrates significant and noteworthy philanthropic contributions to the community.
