About The Role This role exists to supervise the operation of the café area, ensuring the delivery of budgeted SPHs, food quality standards and key performance indicators. This role will be responsible for all ordering, stock levels, audits and concept delivery. Trains, supports and leads F+B associates in performing their job duties to the highest possible level. Controls cash, labor, food preparation and presentation within LEGOLAND Discovery Center and within the Merlin Food and beverage standards and policy. Need working knowledge of Philadelphia food safety, food handling and an understanding of sanitation and cleanliness standards and policies vital.
Responsible for the delivery of fantastic KPI results, including food service >90%, foodexpectation >90%, food quality >85%
Responsible for the stocking and proactive ordering of food products to ensure 100% variety of offering
Drives positive culture throughout team by leading engaging team meetings, maintaining high quality standards and coaching team members to deliver highstandards.
Manages both good and poor performance in an effective manner, ensuring systems are in place to cope with operationalchallenges.
Responsibility for weekly inventory, and monthly food safetyaudits.
Responsible for monitoring daily spends and implementing strategies to drive sales of high-yield products.
Responsible for monitoring of product offering vs food satisfaction and VFM scores and implements longer-term strategies with OperationsManager.
Liaising with Commercial Manager, the F&B Supervisor will be expected to deliver timely and effective reports concerning training levels, staff morale and operational issues to be considered movingforward.
External communication with suppliers to ensure that all food products are delivered in a timely manner, allowing for 100% variety on the caféfloor.
Liaising with Merlin Group commercial senior team to discuss menu adaptations, operational issues, etc.
Expectation to deliver weekly updates on spends and food KPIs, including strategies to improve this.
2+ years of experience within a restaurant or food industry is preferred
High School Diploma, and/or equivalent certificate or equivalent experience.
Possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi task as necessary to meet a deadline.
Great organization skills, detail oriented and self-starter.
Ability to work with people from all levels of discipline.
Excellent solving problems and analytical skills to develop appropriate solutions.
Good knowledge in MS Word and Excel.
Open to new learning opportunities and quickly adapts to change.
