The Pittsburgh Golf Club is searching for a Food & Beverage Manager to direct the F&B operations of the club. The Food & Beverage Manager has the highest responsibility for maximizing the member’s dining experience. The uniqueness of the position is in consistently providing a local palate of traditional and regional Contemporary American cuisine that meets Members’ discerning expectations. The individual selected for this position will lead the front of house team through the execution of a ’la carte service, pool dining service, banquets, and events in an intimate and highly personalized dining atmosphere.
General Purpose: Directs and oversees all food and beverage front of house facets, including personnel, beverage ordering, vendor preference, beverage inventory, and catering functions, with ultimate responsibility for the department for member and guest satisfaction and financial performance.
Candidate Qualifications The most suitable individual selected for this role will have at least 5 years Food and Beverage experience in a management role, preferably within an upscale private clubs’ environment or high-end restaurant. Extensive knowledge of wine and spirits is required for this position. Previous experience in menu planning and budgeting is a critical component to this individual’s success in this role. A proven history of developing and retaining quality staffing is required for this position. The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written is a requirement for this highly interactive and engaging position.
Qualifications: 4 Year bachelor’s degree Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high-end restaurant or club environment Extensive wine and beverage knowledge Extensive knowledge in culinary and hospitality market trends Knowledge in the Jonas Operating System a plus Minimum 2 years’ experience in events & catering management and execution
